Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking premieres in November on Food Network
By Bryce Olin
If you're a wizard in real life or in the kitchen or you just like Harry Potter and fan, we have the perfect show for you coming to Food Network this fall!
Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking premieres on Food Network on Thursday, Nov. 14. The new baking series will also be available to stream on MAX. Food Network also just shared the first look at the food competition series, via the official trailer.
According to a report from Deadline, James and Oliver Phelps, who you'll remember from the Harry Potter movies as Fred and George Weasley, are the hosts of the new series. And, they won't be the only Harry Potter guests on the show! Evanna Lynch, who starred as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter movies, will also appear in the series, along with Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, Warwick Davis, who played Professor Flitwick, and more!
Honestly, they couldn't have found better hosts for the series. James and Oliver Phelps are two of the most charismatic members of the Harry Potter movie cast, in my opinion. You can tell by watching the trailer that they're going to crush this!
Here's how it works: A group of the world's best bakers and Harry Potter fans compete and create Harry Potter-themed desserts in the six-episode series. The creations will be judged by Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef, along with the special guests in each episode. At the end, a winner will be crowned!
It's kind of wild that we haven't seen something like this yet. There's obviously been Harry Potter-themed and wizard/witch baking shows before, but this just feels a little bit different. You know, my favorite thing about the Harry Potter baking show is it feels like a Harry Potter baking show. (That's a joke inspired by the great Harry Styles.)
It's safe to say if you're a fan of Harry Potter, this is basically a must-watch! The competition series was filmed where all eight of the Harry Potter movies were filmed at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden, according to the report. Fans, of course, can tour the studios, and I have a feeling we'll be seeing a few more people visiting after looking at how magical this series looks.
New episodes of the series will be released weekly on Thursdays on Food Network and MAX. We still don't have the release time or air time for the new episodes, but we'll share that information when we find out. Assuming it all goes well and airs consecutively, the season finale will likely be released on Dec. 19.
We'll share more information about Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking when find out. Remember to watch the new season on Food Network and MAX starting on Nov. 14!
