Walmart makes magic with four new posable Harry Potter dolls

It's a fairly common thing for readers to imagine themselves in the books that they enjoy. One way of getting immersed in a franchise is to collect and/or play with toys associated with characters or settings associated with the series and there is no shortage of that. Walmart is coming out with four dolls that will make Hogwarts student life seem closer to reality than ever.

What do we know about these toys?

According to a press e-mail, the retailer is partnering with the My LIfe As brand to bring "customers on imagination journey with an assortment of Harry potter dolls." The brand has previously featured such media as How the Grinch Stole Christmas and Hello Kitty! "These magical dolls bring a new level of affordable and mystical fun to any toy collection."

The 18" figurines are certainly fun, as they feature young girls of various racial backgrounds in their Hogwarts robes. Better yet,, each comes with a companion. The Gryffindor lion, Ravenclaw eagle, Hufflepuff badger, and Slytherin serpent aren't life-like, but they are certainly eye-catching and seem to have a personality of their own The site mentions that the "rooted hair can be brushed and styled" and "bright eyes open and close when the doll is propped up or laid down." It's good to see that the diversity of backgrounds represented in this My Life As release extends to things such as skin tone and differences in hair.

the dolls come with a suitcase to prepare these figures for their first day at Hogwarts as well as a wand and a Hogwarts acceptance letter. Walmart also sells a My Life As Harry potter Hogwarts Express Doll Playset to kick off seven magical years, but they have also added a new set.
