As a Harry Potter fan, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is on my bucket list. It seems to be an inventive and interactive place to express the magical side of the world. Now, the Universal Orlando Resort has announced changes to the theme park that will make the experience even more remarkable.
What do we know about the new experiences?

According to an e-mail sent from Universal Orlando Public Relationships, the Second Generation Interactive Wands are an all-knew collections that "give guests an enhanced and exhilarating wand magic experience that includes features such as illumination effects and haptic vibrations custom to each spell so they can see and feel the results of their spellcasting like never before."
This feature seems very user friendly, as "each wand will include a spell map that outlines locations they can practice their magic, as well as information on how to take their wizarding legacy to a new level with Universal Play."

Universal Play, which can be found within the Universal Orlando Resort app, is also getting exciting new features. The press release reveals that not only can guests customize their Wizard Profile, "where they can select their Wizard Name, Hogwarts House, Avatar and Patronus," but the attributes of his personalization "will be integrated into the effects of their spellcasting - creating a personalized experience for each guest." This prospect is made even more interesting by the exclusive adventures "varying in level of expertise and completion time." A day at this resort is very immersive as wand-bearers can get points for their Hogwarts house. The Universal Play will also let them "keep track of their House Points and Wizarding Level progress, as well as Achievements and Spellwork." Fair play between the houses is always a matter of healthy competition and encouraging visitors to work towards winning the day's House Cup is a brilliant notion. Ten points to whichever witch or wizard came up with that.
The scope of these adventures is far-reaching. There are new locations where experiences can be found, such as the Dueling Club Tent in Hogsmeade, where "guests can cast a spell to bring an abandoned dueling dummy to live and test their dueling spells ability." Ron Weasley wouldn't like Ariadne's Spinners. where "guests will need to cast a spell to repel spiders of all sizes." But if these challenges cause anxiety, there is the Knockturn Alley Staircase where a Patronus is they key to defeating a Dementor or the sky in that same street that allows guests "to control a storm" or cast "a counter-spell to calm the sky.." At The Owl Post in Hogsmeade, guests can try to freeze pixies who "dart across the window and hide behind packages."
Not sure where to start? Spellbooks "provide guidance at select locations" and the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe is a place to begin "an adventure to discover the Philosopher's Stone, interact with magical creatures such as a Niffler or Demiguise, and so much more." The wands are available at Ollivander's Wand Shop in Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique in Place Cachee, and other locations throughout the Resort.
These changes are due to roll out on Saturday, March 1, so there's no time like the present to book a day in the Wizarding World.
