Wizards Beyond Waverly Placeis coming to the Disney Channel and Disney+ very soon!

According to a report fromDeadline,Wizards Beyond Waverly Placepremieres on the Disney Channel onTuesday, Oct. 29.The first two episodes of the eight-episode series will be available to watch on Disney Channel starting at 8 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. C.

Then, after the two episodes are released on Disney Channel, the full first season (all eight episodes) will be available to stream on Disney+ and on Disney On Demand on Wednesday, Oct. 30, according to the report.

It's a weird release model, but hey,Wizards Beyond Waverly Placeis a strange show. I don't think we've seen Disney release a partial season on the Disney Channel before launching the full season the next day on Disney+. At least, it's available to watch for Halloween!

For those who don't know,Wizards Beyond Waverly Placeis the spinoff ofWizards of Waverly Place, the hit Disney series that ran for four seasons from 2007-2012. Selena Gomez starred in the series, along with David Henrie, David DeLuise, Maria Canals-Barrera, Jake T. Austin, and Jennifer Stone. Todd J. Greenwald created the series.

Wizards Beyond Waverly Placebrings back David Henrie as Justin Russo. The spinoff focuses on his wife, kids, and friends, including characters played by Mimi Gianopulos, Alkaio Thiele, Max Matenko, Janice LeAnn Brown, and Taylor Cora.

We shared the synopsis forWizards Beyond Waverly Place, via Disney:

"“Wizards Beyond Waverly Place” follows an adult Justin Russo, who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, Giada, Roman and Milo. When Justin’s sister Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World."

This wouldn't feel complete without the cast ofWizards of Waverly Place, though. Of course, the cast of the original will be returning as guest stars in the spinoff series. Selena Gomez will be back as Alex Russo in at least one episode of the eight-episode first season. Maria Canals-Barrera and David DeLuise, who play Justin and Alex's parents, Theresa and Jerry, respectively, will also be back forWizards Beyond Waverly Placefor at least one episode, according to the report. We're still waiting to learn more about what's to come!

Disney teased the new series at D23 earlier this summer. We also have the first look at Wizards Beyond Waverly Place. We've shared the new teaser! We still haven't seen the official trailer for the new series, but we'll probably see that closer to the premiere. It makes sense for Disney to pull out all the stops and promote this new spinoff.

Watch the first two episodes ofWizards Beyond Waverly Placeon Oct. 29 at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel. Then, watch the full first season on Disney+ starting Oct. 30.
