There is something that is true without needing to computer generate a single image in Harry Potter and it has to do with personal power. When holding his magic wand, Harry Potter can immediately change the atmosphere around him. Is it truly Magic? Can it create magical feelings?

Why wandwork is better than advancing technology

Mr. Ollivander, the owner of a well-known magic wand shop in the Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone movie, was the first to give the title character a magic wand. He said the "wand chooses the wizard." So, the wand is unique because it is directly connected to its owner. Unlike AI or VR, anyone can choose those, as they become magical objects for the subject using them.

If the wand provides true magic, does that mean AI or VR is fake? The question isn't as simple as it seems because both can offer a kind of magic to their users. The wand is magical because it derives its power from the true energy within, which aligns with the user’s frequency. This connection feels like a mystery and becomes a mystical symbol for the user. To blend their energy, a command in the form of a “spell” is needed.

While AI and VR are associated with measurable and predictable technology, this advanced technology is extraordinary in the real world, solving problems and even creating experiences that make it feel like you’ve stepped into another dimension simply with a command known as a “prompt.”

Having a true magic wand is very economical and practical because it's ready to be used anytime and anywhere. Wielders activate their power without having to worry about electricity and signal. However, the wand still depends on internal strength. For those without magical abilities, it will be futile. Furthermore, the power of this can be limited depending on the level of compatibility between the wand and the wizard. So, if there's less harmony, even the most powerful wand can fail to function correctly.

Holding a magic wand feels like flying over to another dimension. We can't imagine since it's full of surprises, hopes, and mysteries, unlike just wearing a VR headset or interacting with AI. We can feel a different experience when we channel our magic. The emotional elements and spontaneity often go beyond the limits of logic.

Despite being highly advanced, technology is still just technology. It doesn’t have feelings or emotions, as magic does. Technology provides many conveniences for users, but it doesn’t offer the touch or energy that can be felt directly. What technology provides in terms of function and utility sadly cannot touch the soul the way a magical wand in the world of Harry Potter can.

So, who can deny the appeal of "Expecto Patronum?"
