Matthew Lewis becomes a new dad in the trailer for Baby Done

Gone is our Neville Longbottom and now is new dad Matthew Lewis in the new trailer for Baby Done, produced by Taika Waititi and starring Rose Matafeo and Matthew Lewis.

Neville Longbottom is all grown up…or, at least, star Matthew Lewis is! Our favorite Gryffindor friend is starring in a new movie with Rose Matafeo about a father trying to come to terms with…well, being a dad while his partner is trying to do everything she can before the baby comes.

From producer Taika Waititi, the trailer for Baby Done is incredibly smart, heartwarming, and shows the difference in responsibilities and how we cope with change.

Matthew Lewis plays Tim, a father to be who is taking everything extremely seriously while Zoe (Rose Matafeo) is trying to live her life to the fullest before she’s a mother. Losing herself and what made her unique, Zoe just keeps trying to do all the things she ever wanted before the baby comes and is, seemingly, reckless and doesn’t care about what is best for her or the baby.

Tim, who goes to classes and is getting ready, just wants to understand and thus this wonderfully complex yet relatable trailer does its job of making us interested, bringing us into the story, and reminding us that everyone goes through moments of doubt in their lives and we just have to push through.

Baby Done looks incredible and Matt Lewis taking on a role so different from our Neville Longbottom is fun and new for us as fans and it is going to be interesting to watch him shine in the new film! It also helps that it looks great!
