Spellbinding Fantastic Beasts exhibition on its way in 2020

The magical world of Fantastic Beasts is about to get a spellbinding treatment. Multiple companies are teaming up to bring a magnificent exhibition.

Are you ready for the Fantastic Beasts franchise to get a little more fantastic? There’s a new exhibition and more coming our way in 2020.

Warner Bros. has teamed up with the BBC, the Natural History Museum, Pottermore Publishing, and Bloomsbury to bring a range of material for all fans of the Wizarding World. Whether you love written material, want a new documentary, or would love to physically see an exhibition, you’re in luck. And you only need to wait until the spring of this year.

The exhibition and materials will look into all the real-life inspirations behind those magical creatures that New Scamander has investigated, studied, and protected. There’s a look at many of the myths and legends surrounding the creatures, from the real world to the magical one.

Fantastic Beasts: A Natural History is the working title for the production heading to BBC One. We’re still waiting on where it will go in the U.S., but it could head to HBO Max as that is owned by WarnerMedia. Stephen Fry will narrate the documentary, as we look at the myths and origins of J.K. Rowling’s creatures.

Then we’re heading to London’s Natural History Museum, where Fantastic Beasts: The Wonder of Nature is heading in the spring of 2020. The exhibition will focus on the real explorers of the world, who have helped us understand more about the magnificent creatures around us. Members and Patrons of the museum will get to go to the exhibition for free, and you’ll be able to get your tickets at the end of the week. If you sign up for the mailing list, you’ll get priority booking for this exciting, magical event.

What about the reading material? For that, you’re looking at Bloomsbury, Harry Potter‘s original publisher. Bloomsbury and the Natural History Museum will work together to bring a written collection to go with the exhibition. There will be an audiobook and a digital version available thanks to Pottermore Publishing.
