Good Omens: The UK finally gets a premiere date

Eight months after the U.S. fans got to watch David Tennant and Michael Sheen do their thing on Good Omens, the UK viewers get to see it.

Despite U.S. fans getting to watch Good Omens back in May 2019, UK fans have had to wait. And wait. And wait…

Well, the wait is finally over. Everyone in the UK finally gets a chance to watch David Tennant and Michael Sheen do their thing, and it all kicks off on Jan. 15, 2020.

This is definitely worth the wait. The miniseries is based on the Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett novel Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, WitchHarry Potter‘s Tennant and Prodigal Son‘s Sheen star as Crowley and Aziraphale, the demon and angel who want to prevent the apocalypse from happening. The problem is they’ve lost the Anti-Christ.

And they’re going to be sort of joined by a witch and a trainee-witch hunter who need to find the Anti-Christ and bring a stop to the end. Meanwhile, they’re up against the demons and angels who want and need the apocalypse to happen.

Good Omens will air weekly on BBC Two, starting on Jan. 15. You’ll have six weeks of excellent storytelling, fun rides, and plenty of awesome Queen music.

If you’ve read the novel, it’s an excellent adaptation. That makes sense considering Gaiman was the one to adapt the book into the script, something that Pratchett made clear had to happen in his will. For those who haven’t read the book, you don’t need to for the series but it’s certainly worth checking out!
