Olly Moss Collaborates with Pottermore to Offer Officially Licensed Posters

Olly Moss designed a fabulous set of covers for the re-release of the German Harry Potter audiobook series and the artwork is available for purchase!

Working with Pottermore, Olly Moss crafted new cover designs for all 7 books for the re-release of the German Harry Potter audiobooks. Lucky for fans, they’ve decided to make the artwork available as posters in English. Don’t wait too long though, these beauties will only be on sale for one week.

Pottermore spoke to Moss about the project and the designer commented on it as a labor of love. “I didn’t need to re-read the books, they’re just there in my head.”

And it really shows in the designs that are all based on the same view of Hogwarts. Moss has skillfully crafted every detail to reflect each book in the series. The more you look, the more intricacies you find in his complex design. The different color scheme for each one means they would look terrific individually and utterly fantastic as an entire set.

Described as “reimagined holiday posters from the golden age of British railways,” these iconic posters could grace the walls of any Potterhead’s home. Talking about this design choice, Moss explained:

“I was just a big fan of 1950s design and it just seemed like a natural fit. I really liked the idea of Harry getting on a train and going somewhere exciting every year. There is something very British about that. That period of design – and obviously Harry Potter – is steeped in that imagery and I wanted to bring those two things together.”

Apparently Moss is a fan of Harry Potter fans and that just makes us love his work even more:

“I really like that people who have a similar love of Harry Potter will also hopefully appreciate my personal take on it and that makes me very happy. I’m very proud of that.”

The posters are $50 each or $275 for the whole set. This may seem a bit pricey, but these are hand-numbered officially-licensed Harry Potter high quality art prints. If you love them, you’ll be kicking yourself if you don’t order while they are available this week.
