A Definitive List of the Most Magical Harry Potter Moments

Admittedly this sort of thing is always up for debate among fans, but Alicia Kort comes up with a pretty good list. Her magical moments are also important plot moments, some of which further our understanding of a character.

  • Battle in the Ministry (Order of the Phoenix)
  • “Yer a wizard, Harry” (Sorcerer’s Stone)
  • Hermione Punches Malfoy (Prisoner of Azkaban)
  • Hermione’s Yule Ball Entrance (Goblet of Fire)
  • Voldemort’s Resurrection (Goblet of Fire)
  • Harry vs. Voldemort (Deathly Hallows Part 2)
  • Snape Kills Dumbledore (Half-Blood Prince)
  • Ron Returns (Deathly Hallows Part 1)
  • Snape’s Memories (Deathly Hallows Part 2)
  • Car Trouble (Chamber of Secrets)

Agree or disagree with her opinion, this is an article that a special edition requires.

How J.K. Rowling Created Harry Potter

Most of us already know the story of J.K. Rowling’s creation of our favorite books:

“One weekend after flat hunting, I took the train back to London on my own, and the idea for Harry Potter fell into my head. Coincidentally, I didn’t have a pen and was too shy to ask anyone for one on the train, which frustrated me at the time, but when I look back it was the best thing for me. It gave me the full four hours on the train to think up all the ideas for the book.”

However, it’s always nice to have a reminder of how rocky the road was, the sweetness of her success, and how she has weathered fame with a degree of grace and humility.
